True North Sports Radio (TNSR) is a broadcast radio station in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, Canada, providing sports news, talk and live coverage of sports events. TNSR is the home of the OUA Algoma Thunderbirds, Soo U16.U18 Greyhounds, Sault College CJFL Cougars, and high school sports.

Sports are supposed to be entertainment; they are games, even when played at the highest level, meant to be fun for everyone involved. In today’s sports media world, however, that fact is often forgotten; more and more, coverage of teams, games and players devolves into an overly serious, anger-filled debate.

At True North Sports Radio (TNSR), the joy associated with athletics is incorporated into how the station covers the Sault Ste Marie and Algoma sports scene. Our on-air hosts – while possessing more than 60 years of combined experience as coaches, not to mention nearly 100 years as professional athletes – certainly know the game, able to talk X’s and O’s with anyone in the business, but they also understand that fans are tuning in for a break from reality; they’re paying attention because they want to have a good time and be entertained.
